The CEMA in Mauritius

The Monegasque Entrepreneurs Club in Africa (CEMA) visited Mauritius from November 5 to 7, 2018 for its 4th international mission.

This association, created four years ago with the support of the FEDEM (Federation of Monegasque Enterprises) and the MEB (Monaco Economic Board), brings together 20 Monegasque companies, from all economic industries, and present in more than 45 African countries.

It aims to strengthen links between its members, share experiences and good practices, and foster contacts with African economic actors.

After Dakar in 2017, Abidjan in 2016 and Kinshasa in 2015, the CEMA went to Mauritius, which is positioned as a « gateway » to the African continent.

The CEMA representation composed of 26 Delegates was led by its President Patricia Husson – Honorary President of the Ascoma Group and accompanied by Olivier Lachappelle – CEO of Ascoma Jutheau Husson.

During the 3-day mission, the members met the Heads of the Economic Development Board, the Association of Banks and Stock Exchange, the major Mauritian families at the head of diversified conglomerates (IBL, CIEL, ENL), as well as the Business Mauritius and the main banks of the Place: MCB and AFRASIA.
