In combating overconsumption, overprescription, fraud and overcharging, the system allows the effective control of healthcare expenditures and leads to substantial savings in these costs for clients. The concept has also achieved a reversal in the underwriting experience for insurers, which usually show a loss, perpetuating the policies subscribed to and limiting premium increases.
